Military vehicles will travel through the London area and Lambton County on Wednesday as part of Canadian Army training.
Canadian Army Reserve personnel from 31 Service Battalion will conduct convoy operations training along busy roadways including Oxford Street, Highbury Avenue, Highway 3, County Road 16, County Road 7, County Road 17, and County Road 12.
“Activities will include Administrative Convoy training on a planned, return highway route transiting London, Arva, Ilderton, Port Franks and Thedford,” a statement from the Armed Forces said. “Participating personnel will remain within their vehicles, as dismounted drills are not planned, except for maintenance purposes.”
The convoy is part of regular, scheduled training in order to keep units ready to respond to situations such as floods and wildfires.
