As of Tuesday, London residents won’t be allowed to park their vehicles on the street overnight.
Restrictions on overnight street parking return November 1, preventing drivers from parking their vehicles on the street between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. However, residents can register for a pass to park their vehicle on the street.
“A maximum of 15 free passes will be issued per vehicle licence plate, valid on most City streets,” the city said. “Vehicles parked on City streets without a valid overnight parking pass may receive a parking fine.”
According to the city, parking passes will not be issued more than 48 hours in advance. Overnight passes are also not to be used on streets that are posted with signs that say “No Parking 3 -5 a.m.”
Passes are not available for commercial, oversized, inoperable or unplated vehicles, boats or trailers.
Relaxed restrictions on overnight street parking will return in May 2023.
