Londoners who have made up their minds on who to vote for in the upcoming municipal election can begin casting their ballots this weekend.
Advance polls open in the city on Saturday and will continue from October 11 to 15. The ten polling locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
Anyone who has not requested to vote by mail is eligible to vote in the advance polls at the location of their choice. That is different from voting on election day, when voters must cast a ballot at their designated polling station.
A list of advance polling stations can be found by clicking here and a list of candidates can be found by clicking here.
Identification and voter notification card are needed to vote. Those who did not receive a voter card in the mail can still vote by providing their name and address, as well as multiple pieces of ID.
In 2018, just over 14,400 eligible voters chose to cast ballots in advance.
Individuals who can’t make the advance polls or who have not yet decided on their favoured candidates can vote on election day on October 24.
