OPP concerned for well-being of mom and baby

The Ontario Provincial Police in Elgin County is asking for the public’s help in locating a woman and her newborn baby.

Police received a call on Sunday to check on the well-being of 27-year-old Deanna Smith-Scott.

She is described as a white woman who is about 5’5″ tall with a medium build and long hair. She is believed to be traveling in a grey or silver coloured vehicle with the Ontario license plate BPJC 104.

She was last seen around 2:45 a.m. in the village of Union, Central Elgin.

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to contact the Elgin County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can call St. Thomas-Elgin Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, where you could be eligible for a reward of up to $2000.
