Former Seaforth golf pro found guilty in sexual assault trial

Former Seaforth golf instructor Cameron Doig has been found guilty of sex-related offences stemming from incidents in the 1990s.

Doig, the 63-year-old former golf pro, was found guilty in a Goderich Court Thursday following another sexual assault trial.

Doig was convicted of sexual assault, sexual interference, and two counts of sexual exploitation.

Much of the evidence is under a publication ban to protect the identity of the victim, who was a minor when she was assaulted.

Doig already faced two youth trials but the verdicts in those cases are also covered under a publication ban.

He was also named in a civil suit filed by the victim.
