Local student raising money for Terry Fox Campaign

A ten-year-old grade six student at Oxbow Public School is continuing his efforts to raise money for Terry Fox.

Brady Keller started raising money for the Terry Fox campaign four years ago. He raised just over 14-hundred dollars in 2019, one thousand dollars in 2020 and just over 15-hundred dollars in 2021. His goal this year is one thousand dollars and he’s already raised 385 dollars. But he’s introduced something this year. He’s running laps for the money he raises.

“Doing laps because that’s just what Terry did. And I want to try and be like Terry this year. Every ten dollars I make, I run that many laps. So if I make a thousand dollars, I run like a hundred laps. I don’t think it’s fair that people get stuck with this virus and they got no choice with it at all. So I’m trying to help them, trying to help get a cure for everybody,” Keller says

Brady’s younger sister has also started her own campaign and so far, she’s raised 220 dollars. Brady’s Terry Fox Donation page is https://schools.terryfox.ca/page/bradykeller.
