A London woman has some practical plans after winning a $1 million lottery prize.
Amanda David claimed the Maxmillion prize in the Lotto Max Draw on June 7.
“This is my first major win,” David said while picking up her prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
She said she realized her good fortune while checking her lottery numbers at the store.
“I was shocked – I had to let it sink in,” she said. “I told my best friend, and they were surprised and happy for me,” said David.
The London mother plans to use her seven figure winnings to pay some bills and help out her children. She added that she will also be putting some in the bank.
David’s winning ticket was sold at the Sarem Convenience on Murphy Road in Sarnia.
