Central Huron Mayor, Jim Ginn, says they will continue with plans to develop and promote the Destination Central Huron Team videos aimed at attracting people to the municipality.
“We had a committee that looked after the promotional videos and the company that we hired was doing the promotional side of it and that contract has now ended, so we’ll end that committee, but we’re going to start up another one that will carry on from there,” said Ginn.
Ginn says they had some discussions with Economic Development expert Roger Brooks. “He gave us a bunch of suggestions of things that we could do, some very small things that we could do and we want to prioritize those and move forward on them, so we didn’t want to lose the momentum that we’d had from these videos and we’ll carry on with some of the improvements.”
Ginn says a lot of the suggestions were very common sense and low cost ideas and the goal is to bring more visitors, as well as potential residents, into Central Huron.
