Police asking for public’s assistance regarding recent assault

A recent alleged assault is being investigated by police, who are asking the public for any information regarding the incident.

Wellington County OPP say on Saturday, September 10 at 6 p.m., officers responded to a reported assault that had occurred at a residence on Victoria Street in Palmerston. Initial reports claimed an argument ensued in the parking lot of a business on Main Street between the victim and an unknown person who followed the victim to their home in a vehicle. A physical fight broke out at the home, and the suspect driving the vehicle assaulted three adult victims with a “noxious substance.”

The vehicle involved was described as a black, newer model, four-door Dodge Charger or Challenger with tinted windows and five occupants inside, four males and one female. The driver who committed the alleged assault was described as being a Caucasian male, 25 to 35-years-old, tall with a thin build, brown hair wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a dark coloured t-shirt and black shorts. The three other males were described as Caucasian, and the female was described as Caucasian with tattoos on her arms.
