Impaired driving charges have been laid against a Londoner after a vehicle with two small children in the back was stopped north of Turkey Point.
The vehicle was on Turkey Point Road in Charlotteville when it caught the attention of a Norfolk OPP officer just after 8:15 p.m. on Sunday. The officer pulled the vehicle over and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
According to police, there were two small children in the vehicle.
A 38-year-old from London has been charged with speeding and driving while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration 80 plus. The individual was released from police custody with a future court date.
