No injuries were reported after fire reduced a barn to rubble southwest of Glencoe.
Fire crews were called to the blaze at a farm on Coltsfoot Drive in southwest Middlesex County around 1 a.m. on Sunday. When firefighters arrived on scene the barn was engulfed in flames. They took a defensive stance to battle the fire and protect nearby structures, including multiple silos, from the intense flames.
By 8 a.m. the blaze was extinguished, with crews keeping an eye on just a few remaining hot spots.
A damage estimate has not yet been released.
The Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified.
An investigator with the Southwest Middlesex Fire Department is probing the cause of the fire.
