A line of severe thunderstorms is expected to pass through parts of Middlesex and Oxford counties Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m., Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Eastern Middlesex County and Oxford County.
The weather agency said the line of storms is located from New Hamburg to St. Marys to Parkhill, moving southwest at 20 kilometres per hour.
Areas impacted by the alert include: Parkhill, Lucan, Nairn, Ailsa Craig, Denfield, Elginfield, Granton, Bryanston, Wellburn, Thorndale, Kintore, Lakeside, Brooksdale and Hickson.
The storms are capable of producing large hail, damaging wind and torrential rainfall.
Residents are advised to seek cover should threatening weather approach.
