The rest of Thursday and possibly Friday will be wet and stormy according to Environment Canada.
Shortly after noon Thursday, the weather agency issued a special weather statement citing heavy rainfall in slow-moving thunderstorms is expected to move through parts of the region including in London-Middlesex, Sarnia-Lambton, Oxford County, and the southern parts of Huron-Perth counties.
Meteorologists said between 30-50 millimetres of rain is possible in locales that receive multiple thunderstorms or prolonged heavy rain from showers.
The alert follows Wednesday’s turbulent weather forecast which included severe thunderstorm watches and warnings, a rainfall warning, and tornado watches and warnings in some parts of midwestern Ontario.
