The Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance has announced further reductions in hours at 2 more local hospitals.
In a release, the HPHA notes that due to ongoing staffing challenges, the Clinton Public and St. Marys Memorial hospitals will be reducing their hours in their respective emergency departments on Saturday, August 6th and Sunday the 7th. The Clinton ED will be closed the entire day of the 6th, while the St. Marys one will close on the 6th at 5 p.m. St. Marys ED will reopen on August 7th at 7 a.m. and regular hours will resume. The Clinton ED will reopen at 8 a.m. on August 7th and resume its regular reduced hours of 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The release notes that ongoing staffing shortages will continue to affect local emergency departments throughout the summer, with COVID-19 pressures exacerbating the issues.
