HPHA announces further reduction of hours at local hospital

The Emergency Department at the Seaforth Community Hospital site of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance will be temporarily reducing hours. This is due to ongoing health human resource shortages.

The Emergency Department will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 27th,  and reopen at 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 28.

The ED will close again at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 29th, and reopen at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 30th.

Regular hours of operation (24/7) will resume at this time.

Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will remain available to the community and will re-route to the nearest available Emergency Department to ensure local residents continue to have access to the emergency services they need.

The closest 24-hour Emergency Departments to the Seaforth Community Hospital are:

Goderich – Alexandra Marine & General Hospital

Exeter – South Huron Hospital

Stratford – HPHA– Stratford General Hospital
