The Clinton Public Hospital is back open, although with reduced operating hours.
A release from the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance states that following a closure from July 2nd to July 4th, the Clinton Public Hospital is back open with reduced hours of operation from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily. The release also says “hospitals across the South West continue to experience human resources shortages which have the potential to impact services and wait times. HPHA, like other health care providers across the province, continues to exhaust all efforts in response to staffing challenges.”
Clinton is one of a number of hospitals across the province, particularly in rural areas, that have experienced severe staffing challenges recently, with many hospitals either reducing hours or outright closing down for stretches due to the shortages.
