BRIAN SPENCE
Born in Edmonton and raised in Listowel, James Brian “Spook” Spence passed away peacefully at home with his wife Beverly, brother Bill and sister-in-law Bev at his side.
Brian was born Oct. 30, 1944. He was the oldest of four children – Brian, Bill, Virginia and Peter – of Dr. Bruce and Lilian (née Stilborn) Spence.
Brian grew up spending his summers fishing and playing on the beach at the family cottage in Point Clark. Brian’s quick wit and interesting stories about dogs and cars will be missed. He had a love of the Blues, his long-time friends, and enjoyed every baseball, football and hockey game he could fit in.
Brian will be missed by his family, friends, Auntie Anne and his many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held later this summer.
“Rest in peace, Brian.”
Memorial donations to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society or to the Lighthouse Blues Festival in Kincardine would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
