Officers injured during drug seizure in Port Elgin

Two members of the Saugeen Shores Police Service suffered minor injuries when serving a search warrant in Port Elgin this week.

On June 28th, officers attended a residence on Bricker Street, where seven people were arrested during the execution of the warrant.

Two officers were bit by dogs within the residence. One was transported to hospital but has since been released.

A release notes that over $11-thousand dollars worth of Fentanyl was seized, as well as cocaine and cash. A quantity of stolen property was also recovered.

A 53-year-old Saugeen Shores man faces several charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
