New London to Toronto bus service rolls out Thursday

By the end of the week, there will be another option for people trying to get from London to Toronto.

FlixBus officially launches its daily service between the two cities on Thursday.

The service includes two stops in London and one in Hamilton.

Buses, operated in partnership with Skyway Coach Lanes, will leave from Western University at 2:30 p.m., stop at RBC Place at 300 York Street at 2:45 p.m., then stop at McMaster University in Hamilton at 4:15 p.m. before arriving at the Harbourfront in Toronto at 5:10 p.m.

Buses travelling from Toronto to London board at the Harbourfront at 11:15 a.m., stop in Hamilton at 12:05 p.m. and arrive in downtown London at 1:40 p.m. and then at Western ten minutes later.

A one way trip ranges in price from $17.99 to $20.00, plus a $3.99 service fee.

FlixBus, which bills itself as Europe’s largest long-distance bus network, has been in operation overseas since 2013. Since then it has expanded into the United States and Brazil. In April, it launched service in Ontario with intercity bus routes from Toronto to Ottawa, Waterloo to Toronto, and Niagara Falls to Toronto.
