Climate change could trigger toxic disasters along Lake Michigan, new report finds

A report by Chicago’s Environmental Law and Policy Center, focuses on toxic hazards in the four states bordering Lake Michigan but also notes that densely populated neighborhoods in Chicago could face potentially devastating flooding if weather patterns continue.  Large parts of those areas may face more severe flooding, as much as a half-mile inland, and pose threat to lakefront superfund sites.
