Environment Canada issued another special weather statement for most parts of southwestern Ontario.
The special weather statement is in effect for Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, London and Middlesex County, Elgin, Norfolk, and Oxford Counties.
Wind gusts could top 70 kilometres per hour during the morning hours, with only slight diminishment through the afternoon.
The weather agency said high winds combined with wet ground conditions may make trees more susceptible to damage. High wind gusts may also cause damage to hydro lines and poles, meaning power outages are possible.
Winds are expected to die down by Friday evening.
