The Kincardine Legion U13 rep team lost at the All-Ontario tournament this past weekend in Barrie.

The local U13 team won the first four games on Friday and Saturday. They defeated Tillsonburg 6-3 and Oakville 3-2 on Friday. On Saturday, they defeated Collingwood 4-1 and Whitby 11-1.

On Sunday morning in the semi-final, Kincardine lost to Mooretown 2-1. Assistant coach Dustin Catto said Mooretown had a really good team but Kincardine had some chances to score. The U13 head coach is Shawn Burrows.

Mooretown won the All-Ontario with a 3-1 win over Penetang in the final. Congrats on a great season for the U13 team, who won the local Silver Stick Championship in Kincardine this year.

The WOAA senior hockey league has a new champion this year. The Seaforth Centenaries defeated the Clinton Radars on Saturday night in Seaforth, to win the series four games to one. On Friday night in Clinton, the Radars won 6-1 to pick up their only win. Holydyn Lansink and Craig Dalrymple scored for Seaforth in front of 900 fans.

Shallow Lake won the consolation championship in the WOAA, defeating Petrolia 4 games to 2 games in the final.

Hanover defeated Mitchell in the first game of the Pollock division final. Stayner defeated Alliston in double overtime in game seven of the Carruthers division semi-final. Stayner will now play Schomberg in the final. The two winners meet next in the North Conference final.
