Reconnecting seniors with resilience in Huron County

The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health, through their Connectedness Coaching Service, has partnered with the McKay Centre in Goderich on a program called Reconnecting Seniors with Resilience in Huron County.

Facilitator Christina Wild says the program is an opportunity for engaged community members.

“RSR is an opportunity for engaged community members, folks who are interested in improving and empowering their own resiliency, helping seniors in their life who they provide care for and also people in professional capacities who are helping their clients build resiliency.”

Wild says the program consists of six live webinars, twice a week for three weeks. There is also a three-month subscription that has a customized tool kit. It includes supplemental resources and self reflection activities, so for online learning and all sorts of incredible resources.

The program starts on April 4th and runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Wild says there’s no cost for the program and more information can be found on the Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health website under projects and Connectedness Coaching.
