Four charged following drug bust

Perth County OPP have arrested and charged four people following a recent drug bust.

On March 14th, police alongside the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit, conducted a traffic stop on Perth Line 34, in the Township of Perth East, following a drug trafficking investigation in the Municipality of West Perth. The three occupants of the vehicle were found to be in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and heroin, as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia, and cash. The total estimated value of the drugs is approximately $26,000.

Also, police executed a search warrant at a residence on St. David Street, in the Municipality of West Perth. One individual was arrested. Officers seized methamphetamine, psilocybin, two prohibited weapons, and drug trafficking paraphernalia. Officers also seized ID documents believed to be stolen. A 28-year-old, 49-year-old and 23-year-old, all of West Perth, and a 51-year-old from St. Marys all face numerous drug trafficking and possession charges.

The 23-year-old accused was released from custody with a court date scheduled for a later date in Stratford, while the other three accused are all being held pending bail hearings.
