A 32-year-old woman trapped inside of a burning home south of Tillsonburg was rescued by her stepfather.
Firefighters were called to the home on North Road just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Prior to the arrival of emergency crews, a resident of the home smashed a window to save his stepdaughter from the fire. Both the man and woman were taken to hospital with minor injuries. A firefighter was also treated for minor injuries.
Two cats and two dogs that were inside the home are unaccounted for, according to Norfolk OPP.
Damage is estimated at $800,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
