Four County Labour Market Planning Board seeks new Executive Director

The Four County Labour Market Planning Board it actively seeking to fill the position of Executive Director.

Current Four County Labour Market Planning Board Executive Director, Gemma Mendez-Smith has announced retirement plans.

Mendez-Smith served 11 years as ED and two decades with the organization,. and feels this is the right time for a leadership change and to pursue a new venture.

The board has struck an ED Search Committee to facilitate the hiring process to find its new leader.

“Dynamic, inclusive, effective in all things asked of her, empathetic, compassionate, passionate, friend, mentor and leader are but a few of the attributes one can effortlessly assign to the Gemma will be carving a new path and tale of adventure very soon and we will see her leaving the Planning Board. Wishing Gemma all the success in the world is easy, but seeing her leave the board will be deeply and profoundly sad. Nonetheless, we who have the privilege of calling Gemma friend, co-worker, confidant and so much more. We look forward to hearing of the success of her new ventures. With that the Four County Labour Market Planning Board is excited to start our own new adventure with a new ED and all that this will bring to the awesome work and legacy of the Four County Labour Market Planning Board,” says Co-Chair, Dave Trumble and former Co-Chair, Shirley Keaveney.

Mrs. Mendez-Smith stated, “Having served 11 years as ED and two decades with the organization, I feel this is the right time for a leadership change and to pursue a new venture. It has been my honour and privilege to serve this great organization. I am happy to have been a part of a not-for-profit focused on leadership, growth and service excellence.”
