Some residents in south London will likely remain in the dark until around dinner time, according to London Hydro.
Electricity went out in the Westminster area sometime around 2 p.m. Friday. Over 160 customers neighbouring Adelaide Street between Southdale Road East and Wilton Grove Road were affected by the outage.
Crews were seen at the intersection of Adelaide Street and Bradley Avenue repairing a damaged hydro pole.
At around 5 p.m., London Hydro reported another outage affecting over 1,100 customers in the Westmount area between just south of Commissioners Road West and Bradley Avenue.
No other details on what has caused the outages have been provided however, the region remains under a winter weather advisory as a heavy mix of snow and rain continues to fall across the city making conditions hazardous. Wind gusts of up 50 kilometres per hour from the south have also been reported.
London Hydro estimates service will be restored sometime between 5:30 p.m. or 6 p.m.
