COVID-19 case counts rise slightly again in Midwestern Ontario

COVID-19 cases once again saw a slight increase in Midwestern Ontario today.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is reporting 90 new cases, with 18 of those in Wellington County. Outbreaks continue at Caressant Care in Harriston and Fergus in both the retirement and long-term care communities, and at Highland Manor in Fergus.

Grey-Bruce Public Health is reporting 36 new cases, with 10 people in hospital with COVID-19. Outbreaks continue at Grey Bruce Health Services in Wiarton, and at 8 long-term care facilities. Those include Rockwood Terrace Long Term Care in Durham, Errinrung Nursing Home and Errinrung Retirement Home in Thornbury, Parkview Manor in Chesley, Mapleview Long-Term Care Home, Summit Place, Lee Manor and Season’s, all of Owen Sound.

Huron-Perth Public Health logged 46 new cases today. Outbreaks continue at several long-term care homes, including Braemar Nursing Home, Huronview, Kingsway Lodge and Queensway Nursing Home. Outbreaks also continue at local retirement communities, including Caressant Care North Perth and Maplewood Manor.
