The Ripley Wolves will start their playoffs at home on Friday, Feb. 4 against Shelburne. They will travel to Shelburne on Feb. 5 for game two. The Wolves will play at home the next two Fridays on Feb. 11 and 18.
There are some great match-ups in the first round, with Seaforth playing Durham, who could upset a good team in the first round. You have Minto against Clinton, who have won the league in the last few years, in another good series. Then you have Saugeen Shores against Tavistock, who seems to be better this year.
The PJHL is returning to play on Feb. 4, with the Pollock division playing a reduced 32-game schedule.
The Kincardine Bulldogs start with two home games the first weekend. They play Goderich at home on Friday night and host Wingham on Saturday night.
The season will end on March 6 and playoffs will be as usual until they get to the final four teams. The final four will all play one home playoff game and one away playoff game, before moving to Guelph University to finish season on May 13-15.
This was something the teams came up with to keep teams playing longer this season, after missing out the last two winters.
What a weekend of playoff football. All the road teams won except Buffalo, who lost a close one in overtime to Kansas City. Unfortunately, Buffalo lost the coin flip in overtime and KC went down to score a touchdown to win the game. It was a tough loss for fans.
My picks for the Super Bowl are the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs.
