In a less than 24 hour time span, a London man was arrested, not once, but twice in connection with two separate break-ins in the city.
London police, with the help of the canine unit, arrested a man following a break-in at a business on Sovereign Road around 3:20 a.m. on Monday. The man was charged and was released from custody after a court appearance in the afternoon.
Around 10:15 p.m. that night, police were called about a break-in at a secure compound on Brydges Street east of the Western Fair District. Officers arrived and arrested a male suspect.
Police have said the man arrested at the second break-in was the same man arrested at the Sovereign Road break-in earlier in the day.
A 43-year-old London man is charged with breaking and entering and breaking and entering to commit theft. He was scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the new charges on Tuesday.
