The 2021-2022 GOJHL season will officially resume on January 31.
The league announced the news Saturday morning and said full details will be released next week.
The season was paused after a provincial mandate was implemented at the beginning of the month in response to the latest wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The provincial government outlined a three-phased approach to easing public health measures earlier this week.
As stated in the plan, starting January 31, sports venues with spectators will be allowed at 50 per cent capacity or 500 people (whichever is less). Enhanced proof of vaccination and other requirements would continue to apply.
The league consists of 25 teams. The standings for the western conference last left the London Nationals and Leamington Flyers on top with 38 points each. The Chatham Maroons were ranked fifth with 34 points and the Sarnia Legionnaires had 15 points.
We’re excited to announce the 2021-22 GOJHL season will officially resume on January 31. Full details will be released next week.
