COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Midwestern Ontario, with a few active outbreaks still ongoing.
Huron-Perth Public Health is reporting 49 new cases among high risk individuals, with 8 people currently hospitalized with the virus. Outbreaks continue at Braemar Nursing Home, Hillside Manor, Kingsway Lodge and Knollcrest Lodge. Outbreaks also continue at Caressant Care North Perth, Exeter Villa, Goderich Place, Maplewood Manor and Seaforth Manor.
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is reporting 114 new cases, with 28 of those in Wellington County. Ongoing outbreaks include Royal Terrace in Palmerston and Wellington Terrace in Fergus.
Grey-Bruce Public Health is reporting 39 new cases today, with 12 people currently in hospital. Grey-Bruce Health Services in Wiarton is currently dealing with an outbreak, along with 12 long-term care or retirement facilities.
Those include Rockwood Terrace Long Term Care in Durham, Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow, Errinrung Retirement & Nursing Home in Thornbury, McVean Lodge in Hanover, R-Villa Retirement Living in Ripley, Parkview Manor in Chesley, Mapleview Long-Term Care Home in Owen Sound, Lee Manor in Owen Sound, Grey Gables in Markdale, Maple Court Villa in Walkerton, Summit Place in Owen Sound and Season’s Owen Sound.
