OPP investigating snowmobile crash

Some snowmobile trails are closed down in Huron county following a crash southwest of Wroxeter which resulted in serious injuries.

Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside fire and paramedic services, responded to the intersection of Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) Trail B108 and C Line Road at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

“The cause of the crash remains under investigation however alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in this collision,” police said in a statement.

Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

OPP warned that access to the area, while the investigation is ongoing, is prohibited and violators may be charged with trespassing.
