Trio sought after armed home invasion in Newbury

Provincial police are trying to track down three suspects after an armed home invasion southwest of London.

Middlesex OPP were called to a home on Hagerty Road in Newbury around 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Investigators determined three people had forced their way inside of the residence and demanded cash and jewellery from the home’s occupants.

A gun was seen during the home invasion, police said.

No injuries were reported and there is no word on how much, if anything, the robbers were able to escape with.

Police are now searching for three suspects. All are described as being Caucasian, approximately 5’10”- 5’11”, 17-19-years-old with a thin build. They were all wearing dark coats, dark hats, and dark balaclavas.

It is believed the home invasion was an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety at this time, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
