The South Bruce OPP released the final results of their 2021 Festive R.I.D.E. Program.
This year the program ran from November 18th, 2021 until January 3rd, 2022.
There were 98 checkpoints set up across the detachment area resulting in two driver’s license suspensions issued for a warn result at the road side, while four drivers were charged with Impaired Driving. The South Bruce OPP investigated 153 motor vehicle collisions during the campaign. An impaired driver was arrested at one of the collisions.
While the Festive R.I.D.E. program has ended for the season, South Bruce OPP remind motorists that patrols will be monitoring the roadways all year long looking for dangerous and impaired drivers.
