High winds and snow expected

Windy weather today could make getting round difficult and lead to power outages.

Environment Canada is calling for wind gusts of between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour Wednesday as a cold front moves into the area.

There is also snow in the forecast, between 4 and 8 centimetres. Drivers can expect reduced visibility and drifting on area roads.

The wind is expected to ease overnight but the forecast calls for flurries for the next few days.

Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for Huron and Bruce counties and a special weather statement for Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey and Wellington counties.
