Obituary – Donald Austin

DONALD AUSTIN

Donald Austin (formerly of Point Clark and Waterloo) died peacefully at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Sept. 28, 2021, in his 88th year.
Beloved husband of the late Delores “Tina” (Becker) Austin (2005).
Cherished father of the late Christine (2012), and Sherry and her husband Bob.
Proud grandpa of Kyle Holmes, Wesley Holmes, Jason Colliver (Josh), and Stacey Colliver (Mike).
Fondly remembered by his niece Carol Kelly (Steve) and nephew Murray Kelly (Glenyce) and the Becker family.
Also predeceased by his sister Doreen.
Don and Delores raised their family in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. In 1989, Don retired from BF Goodrich and together Don and Tina moved to Point Clark. Always wanting to keep busy, Don started his own lawn maintenance business, which he ran for over 25 years. When it finally came time for retirement, Don moved to Huntsville in 2019 to be closer to family. He will be remembered for instilling love and hard work into those he loved.
A private family funeral service was held on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021.
Interment: Clinton Cemetery.
