Royal Canadian Legion Vimy Branch 145 with help from the Army Navy Air Force Unit 229 poppy team and the Ironworkers Union Local 700 poppy team, is responsible for the poppy campaign downtown and along a portion of Wellington Road, the university and University Hospital. This year, we raised more than $21,000. All volunteers involved thank the residents, businesses and visitors who, in donating to the poppy campaign, helped us support Canada’s veterans.
