The tabling of the 2024 to ’27 city budget Monday at a minimum projected increase of 5.4 per cent in 2024 and a cumulative increase of more than 20 per cent for this four-year term just to maintain services should be a call to immediate action for fixed-income seniors, new homeowners and commercial business property owners. Provide immediate feedback to your ward councillors on both what your percentage increase limits are, why and any solid suggestions you have on reducing costs. This is even before proposed massive increases in police, ambulance and transit services, climate change and off-loading development charges on voters are considered. Read More
