A low-pressure system expected to move across the Great Lakes region will bring strong west winds early in the morning on November 30.
That has prompted The Grey Sauble Conservation Authority to issue a watershed statement due to the risk of shoreline erosion and near-shore flooding.
Environment Canada is calling for maximum sustained wind speeds of 40-50 km per hour with gusts up to 80 km per hour. And that could create offshore waves exceeding 3m in height.
The high winds should peak overnight and into the morning of December 1.
Fortunately, water levels for Lake Huron have returned to near average conditions.
This message will remain in effect until 12:00 pm on Friday, December 2nd, unless local conditions warrant further updates.
