Middlesex County OPP have closed an intersection in Adelaide Metcalfe after a fatal collision on Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened at the corner of Kerwood Road and Melwood Drive sometime before 3:30 p.m.

The local fire department and emergency medical services (EMS), and Ornge air ambulances are responding to the scene.

At least one person is dead as a result of this collision. Further details have yet to be released about the number of people involved and the extent of their injuries.

Police say the area will be closed to traffic for the next few hours.
