Bruce County Women’s Day event to inspire female entrepreneurs

People can be part of an Evening with Women Leading Change coming up in Kincardine to mark International Women’s Day.

Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey, and Bruce County’s Business to Bruce will host an event to inspire female entrepreneurs.

This year’s Women’s Day theme is #EmbraceEquity, as women raise the bar, break glass ceilings, and build new bridges while leading Bruce County to prosperity. As well, the annual Women’s House Woman of Distinction award will be presented at the event.

The event takes place on March 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Pavilion in Kincardine. Tickets are $50 per seat and can be purchased until March 8 at noon.

“For the 5th year, Bruce County is proud to partner with Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey to host this event, supporting an organization that protects some of the most vulnerable members of our community, while also shining light on local entrepreneurs spearheading change in our communities,” said Bruce County Warden Chris Peabody.

“We’re excited to be back in person for our 5th annual International Women’s Day event. We are thankful for the continued generosity and support of our sponsors that allow us to be part of important initiatives that give back to the businesses and assist the women in our community,” said Michelle Lamont, Community and Fund Development Coordinator for Women’s House.

There will also be an online auction from March 4 until March 13 to raise money for Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey.
