Owen Sound city council meetings will start earlier

Owen Sound City Council has decided to start its meetings a little earlier.

City Council has amended its procedural by-law to begin meetings at 5:30 p.m. instead of 7 p.m., beginning February 13, 2023.

Any required closed sessions would be held near the end of the open session. That would be followed by reporting out of closed session, by-laws, and adjournment.

The amendment also requires meetings, including any closed portion, to wrap up within four hours unless the rule is suspended by Council.
