It may be a good idea to tie down any loose, or light outdoor items overnight.
After several days of hot, humid and hazy weather, a cold front has arrived to blow it all away.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Friday evening alerting residents that strong wind gusts of up to 80 kilometres per hour are possible overnight into Saturday.
“Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage,” a statement from the weather agency read.
Gusty winds can also cause isolated power outages and damage to trees and other structures.
The wind is expected to taper off by Saturday morning.
