A 16-year-old is facing charges after the attempted robbery of a northwest London business, police say.
London police say it was about 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday when a teenage boy entered a business in the 1800-block of Hyde Park Road North and, once inside, started stealing property before being stopped by security. The stolen property was retrieved, and the teen ran off, police said.

After London police were called and a description of the teen was provided, the same youth returned to the store and threatened security with a knife before leaving again, police said. Officers arrested a suspect nearby and found a knife, police said.
A 16-year-old Londoner, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, faces charges of robbery and breach of a peace bond. He is expected to appear in court on March 3.
Police seek suspect in Windsor garage burglaries
Windsor police have arrested one suspect after two people were involved in several recent residential break-ins in south Windsor.
Police responded on Jan. 7 shortly after 7:30 a.m. to a home in the 3900 block of Roseland Drive West. Police said two suspects drove to the house in a stolen vehicle and then entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway.
It’s alleged the suspects used the vehicle garage door opener to gain access to the home’s garage, where they stole multiple items, police said.
Police said the suspects then stole a second vehicle from a nearby driveway and drove to another house in the 400 block of Roseland Drive West, where they once again entered a vehicle parked in the driveway and used a garage door opener to gain access.

Police say the suspects stole personal items before fleeing the scene.
The next day, on Jan. 8, officers arrested a 35-year-old man in the 800 block of Elliott Street West and recovered a stolen motor vehicle. He’s charged with two charges of break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of wearing a disguise to commit an offence and possession of stolen property worth less than $5,000.
Police are still searching for a second suspect, described as a white man with a thin build. He was wearing a black hat, black hoodie, black pants and black shoes.
Police remind residents not to leave garage door openers inside vehicles overnight and to ensure their vehicles are locked.
