The Pharaos were the first U.S. team in the Basketball Super League when they joined the loop this season. The Lightning beat K-W for the BSL’s first championship last spring. It was a continuation of London’s dominance in pro basketball: In its former loop, the National Basketball League of Canada, the Lightning delivered owner Vito Frijia six championships between 2012 and 2023.
The victory comes after falling at home to K-W 112-111 and losing 124-116 at Windsor. The defending champion Bolts return to action Saturday (7 p.m. tipoff) against the Glass City Wranglers at Canada Life Place.
They will face Pontiac again next Friday (Dec. 27) at home (7 p.m.).
