The St. Thomas psychiatric site sits empty as council members and developers ponder what to do with the area. I am angry the most obvious idea went unnoticed. We have a crisis with homelessness and addiction and the use of the old hospital would be amazing. Having experience dealing with someone who struggles with homelessness and addiction, the problem must be treated almost like a jail with rehab. Going to rehab for 30 days does not work.
