London will soon have a new top cop.
The London Police Service Board has scheduled a news conference for 10 a.m. on Monday, where it will announce the name of the new chief of police.
Steve Williams, the former chief, announced his retirement in October. The board’s search for the next chief began shortly after.
Deputy Chief Trish McIntyre has been serving as interim chief since February.
She is one of the candidates for the permanent position.
Williams served as police chief in London for three years.
