A local roadway has been temporarily closed due to damage.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs has announced that it has partially closed Concession 14 between Zion Church Road and Hindeman Sideroad due to asphalt damage. Staff are reducing the road to one lane while they determine next steps for repairs.

Additionally, the town is reminding all motorists that a reduced load restriction remains in effect on the road until the end of April, due to moisture below the pavement causing flexing in the road surface. That can lead to cracks and further damage under the weight of heavy vehicles.
