Bayfield’s Beer, Wine, and Food Festival returns

Bayfield’s Beer, Wine and Food Festival will return this year at the same capacity it was pre-pandemic.

Co-organizer Bill Whetstone said last year’s festival last year came right on the heels of the pandemic and they really didn’t know what to expect.

“We’re back to our full compliment, 22 vendors this year, expected to sell out again at around 1,000 tickets,” said Whetstone. “Ticket sales are going really well now. We’ve got three bands coming in like we normally do. We’ve got Steph and the Road Hounds, Darryl Romphf, and Side Road Reunion.”

Whetstone added people are keen to see the festival come back so they’re hoping they can sell out again. The event is non-profit, with all of the money raised going to supporting youth sports and other programs at the Bayfield Arena and Community Centre.

Whetstone said this will be the seventh year for the Beer, Wine and Food Festival and so far they’ve raised very close to $100,000 for the Bayfield Arena and Community Centre. The Festival will be held on May 13 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bayfield Arena. More information can be found at the Bayfield Beer, Wine and Food Facebook page.
